Maximize Chances to Receive Campsite Cancellation Notifications

Campsite Notifier Provides Campsite Cancellation Notifications for any Recreation.gov campsite. We constantly query the data to ensure you find a site. As an avid camper with 3 children, I was tired of not being able to get a campsite. I took years to understand and develop the best tool available to ensure I, and now you, could get a site.  I hope you find this tool as useful as we have. When someone cancels a Yosemite reservation or other popular campground we know immediately. We query the recreation.gov database with the fastest allowed query rate. We notify you first. We help you with the most popular  like:

  • Reserving Yosemite Campsites
  • Reserving Arches Campsites
  • Reserving Zion Campsites
  • Reserving Bryce Canyon Campsites
  • Reserving at Rocky Mountain National Park Campsites

1 – Securing a Reservation at Popular Campsites

ANS: Discover the easiest way to book your dream camping spot at Arches, Zion, or Yosemite with Campsite Notifier. Our real-time alerts ensure you’re the first to know about cancellations, making reservations effortless. Simply select your desired campground on our interactive map, and if a spot becomes available, we’ll notify you instantly to book through Recreation.gov.

2 – Can I get a reservation at a popular campground for a holiday weekend??

ANS: YES!!! These are often booked months in advance and people cancel out throughout the period. We will notify you when they are available. These quickly are selected so it is up to you to go to recreation.gov to reserve the slot before its filled.

3 – What campsites are searched for availability?

ANS: Currently we look at only National Park, National Forest Service, BLM, and other Federal campsites.

4 – When will I get notified?

ANS: You will be notified whenever a “reservable” campsite becomes available. Any campsite on reserveamerica.com. You will receive an email notification.

5 – What campsites are reservable?

ANS: There are 4 categories of campsites; “First Come First Served”, “Reservable”, “Not Available”, and “Not Reservable”. These are designations provided by the Park Services. Any campsite that is either “Not Reservable” or “Not Available” is checked every few minutes to determine if its designation has been changed to “Available”. When it becomes “Available” you will be notified.

6 – How do I get campsite cancellation notifications?

ANS: Campsite status changes to “Available” through cancellations or the Park Service opening/releasing a new block of Campsites.

7 – How can I get Campground Availability Alerts for campgrounds that are restricted or not yet open?

ANS: Campsites will have their status changed by the Park services at different intervals depending on local, state, and federal guidelines. Select the site and date you would like to be notified and you receive campground availability alerts within seconds of when the campground becomes reservable.

8 – Can I reserve sites through this app?

ANS: No; unfortunately this isn’t possible and we only notify you of available reservations. When you have a campsite availability alert open campsite notifier app.  For instance, if you want to reserve Yosemite campsites, your app will open to that campsite and provide a direct link to the www.reserveamerica.com site to make the actual reservation.  Do this immediately. If you have your credentials ready to log into the reserveamerica.com site this will help. Reserveamerica.com will hold this site for a limited time until you pay for the site.

9 – Can I mark more than one day in a row to be notified?

ANS: No; We did this to maximize your chances of being receiving a campground availability alert. Our statistical analysis showed that many people weren’t being notified because they chose too many days. So if you attempt to get a campsite cancellation notification at Lower Pines in Yosemite for a Saturday in July you have an excellent chance of being notified. But if you chose Th, Fri, Sat then that severely limits your chances as someone may have the site for Sat, Sun nights.  So we will notify you that the Sat is available and then you can see what days on either side of Saturday are available and book those if desired.  Again, our choice was to maximize your chances of getting a site. As a best practice make multiple reservations for multiple days and campgrounds. We have found that doing so will almost always result in a campsite availability alert.
